Holmes Herbert

HOLMES HERBERT, a native of Ireland, was born in Dublin in 1882, and was educated in Rugby, England. His stage career, started in his native land, was continued in the United States, where he was seen in many prominent success in the seven years before he entered motion pictures. Though returning to his home for several visits, he has spent most of his time here, living now in Los Angeles. Unlike many of his coworkers in motion pictures, who are among the recruits from the stage, he has not returned to the spoken drama since his first picture for Famous Players. Mr. Herbert is a keen and diligent student, spending much of his spare time in his library, one of the most extensive in the motion picture colony. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 176 lbs., and has light hair and gray eyes.
