GEORGE HACKATHORNE was born in Pendleton, Oregon, on February 13th., 1898, and received his education in that city. From earliest youth he had thought of a professional career, and at the age of nine, was playing in stock. He once did a vaudeville turn, singing creditably. His character depictions have won for this masterful young actor, the praise of all critics, and he is a great favorite of those motion picture "fans" who appreciate real acting ability. He has proven by the excellence of his screen portrayals, that his is a rare art. He won general recognition as a star through his portrayal of the name part in "The Little Minister." Mr. Hackathorne is a splendid swimmer, a keen student of human nature, is 5 feet 7 inches in height, and weighs 135 lbs. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes.
