ELEANOR BOARDMAN was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on August 19th., and educated at the German-town High School in that city. Her family had planned a quiet home career for Miss Boardman but she, alive with a desire to make a place for herself on the stage, left her home arriving in New York with a few dollars and a great ambition. Modeling for artists and posing for photographers brought her a small income and then came a chorus opportunity with the Selwyns. This lasted 3 months. Vaudeville followed with indifferent success and then came a film opportunity. How well she embraced it is now history. Miss Boardman is an accomplished interior decorator and dancer, and through the power of her personality and histrionic talents bids fair to rise to real screen heights. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 125 lbs., and has brown hair and gray eyes.
