Colleen Moore

COLLEEN MOORE was born in Port Huron, Michigan, on August 12th., 1902, and in early youth was sent to the Convent of the Holy Names, in Tampa, Florida. Following her graduation, she attended the Detroit Conservatory of Music. To D.W. Griffith, Colleen Moore owes her first screen appearance, he having picked her for a leading role in a "Bobby" Harron picture. From the very beginning of her screen career, it was evident that Colleen was destined for stardom. Her youthful charm, coupled with genuine talent for character depiction, soon won her recognition, and she was selected by Col. Selig to play in his James Whitcomb Riley productions. She is a vigorous young lady, married, athletic, collects antiques, and has beautiful copper colored hair, and large brown eyes. She weighs 115 lbs., and is 5 feet 4 inches in height.
