Monte Blue
MONTE BLUE was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on January 11th., 1890, and received his education in Knightstown, Ind., and at Purdue University, working his way through the latter place. He is a world traveller having visited all manner of places as a soldier, sailor, lumberjack, cowpuncher, miner, railroader, and actor. After casting about seeking a berth Mr. Blue entered the D. W. Griffith Studios working as a laborer at $1.50 per day. While discussing topics of the day with his fellow workers and lending to his words a wealth of ardor, he was "discovered" by Mr. Griffith and given an opportunity to display his histrionic talents on the screen. His colorful career stood him in good stead for from the very beginning his work was stamped with the flavor of the worldly-wise man. He is a great athlete, stands 6 feet 2 inches in height, weighs 180 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
