Claire Windsor

CLAIRE WINDSOR was born in Cawker City, Kansas, on April 14th., 1898, and when a little girl lived in Topeka, Kansas. As a child she exhibited great talent for drawing, probably inheriting her artistic tastes from her mother, who was an accomplished painter in oil. She was a student in Washburn College Prep School, and because of her beauty was encouraged to appear in local amateur theatricals. She lived in Seattle later where she was chosen Queen of the carnival, and when she later lived in Los Angeles, her first desire to appear on the screen manifested itself. For some time she was cast as mere "atmosphere," it remaining for Lois Weber to cast her prominently for the first time. She has a son, is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 130 lbs., and has blond hair and blue eyes.
