BARBARA LA MARR was born in Richmond, Va., and received her education in local private schools. She made her first appearance on the stage in a stock company production when but 7 years of age. This she followed with a vaudeville engagement. She is an accomplished dancer, and has appeared as a featured player in Broadway musical comedy productions. While dancing professionally, Douglas Fairbanks "discovered" Miss La Marr as a screen possibility and she made her debut with him in "The Three Musketeers," making a most favorable impression. She is a generous hearted girl, this "vamp" of the screen, being especially fond of children. She is the foster mother of an adopted baby boy, and is devoted to the child. All athletics appeal to her, and she is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 123 lbs., and possessing black hair and green eyes.
