William Farnum

WILLIAM FARNUM celebrates his birthday with the nation, having been born on July 4th., 1876, in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his education in Bucksport, Maine, and soon after matriculating, made an active beginning towards the building of what has since become a most successful stage career. He appeared for the first time as a child, at the age of 9 years, and when but 16 was leading man for a stock company. He toured the country for 5 years as the star of the great stage spectacle "Ben-Hur," and headed his own stock company, specializing in Shakespearian repertoire. He is a brother of Dustin Farnum and the two scored a great success on the speaking stage in "The Littlest Rebel." Mr. Farnum is a powerful man, and scored greatly in the fight scene in the screen version of "The Spoilers." He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 195 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes.
