ELSIE FERGUSON was born in New York City, on August 18th., 1883, and received her education in Normal College in that city. There she qualified to become a teacher. She began her stage career in the chorus of a musical comedy production, and displayed so much talent, she was soon marked for bigger things, eventually becoming one of the most popular of stage stars. Famous Players finally induced her to appear on the screen, and one of her earliest screen successes was "Barbary Sheep," in which picture she created a most favorable impression. Hers is a personality rich in refinement and charm, while her classic beauty is known to all stage and screen "fans." She has appeared on the London, England, stage with considerable success, is 5 feet 6 inches in height, weighs 128 lbs., and has golden brown hair and blue eyes.
