Thomas Meighan
THOMAS MEIGHAN was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on April 9th., 1887, and received his education in that city. Though it was his father's wish that "Tommy" become a doctor, the desire for a stage career won out, and Mr. Meighan made his debut in his home town, playing an extra in Henrietta Crossman's production of "Mistress Nell." Ten years later, while playing in England, he received an offer to appear on the screen, but turned it down. Returning to America he delayed his appearance upon the screen another three years, and then finally appeared in a Famous Players picture. Then came his big opportunity in "The Miracle Man," and Mr. Meighan rode to popular favor on the wave of approval which greeted this splendid picture. He is married, is 6 feet tall, weighs 170 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes.
