Clara Bow
CLARA BOW was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., on August 8th., 1905, and educated in the public schools of that city. From early childhood she had evinced keen interest in things theatrical and when a prominent magazine staged a beauty contest Miss Bow was an entrant and easily won first place with the result that she was cast for a small part in a film production. Her dainty charm screened so well, she was offered an important role in "Down to the Sea In Ships" and it was in this remarkable picture that she first gained national prominence. Since then she has advanced rapidly towards stardom. Miss Bow is typical of young American womanhood, indulging in all of the recreations which made her a favorite during her school days. She is an expert swimmer, and excellent horsewoman. She is 5 feet 3 inches in height, weighs 105 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
