Hoot Gibson
HOOT GIBSON was born in Tekamah, Nebraska, in 1892, and began life as a cowboy. He is a typical westerner, was reared on the range, and when still quite young won a cowboy riding championship, after which he was signed to make an Australian tour with a circus. He began his motion picture activities with the Universal Company for whom he made a number of two-reel pictures, depicting life on the range. These pictures grew in popularity, and it was not long ere "Hoot" was making feature length pictures and earning a goodly measure of "fan" approval by his efforts. He is very popular with the younger movie patrons, his particular type appealing to the youthful fancy. He is married to a former vaudeville player, and makes his home in Hollywood. He is 5 feet 10 inches in height, weighs 160 lbs., and has light hair and blue eyes.
