SHIRLEY MASON was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., in 1900, and received her education from private tutors. This busy little girl began her professional career when but 3 years of age. After gaining much popularity creating a child role in "The Squaw Man" in support of William Faversham, she made her screen debut at the old Edison Studio in New York. Her first big screen role was "Bill Hawkins" in "Treasure Island," and from that time on her services were constantly in demand, each new role winning new friends for her. She is one of the daintiest stars of the silver sheet, and is a sister of Viola Dana. Miss Mason is an enthusiastic motorist, and finds driving her car her greatest pleasure when at leisure. She is only 5 feet in height, weighs under 100 lbs., and has brown hair and gray eyes.
