Ruth Roland
RUTH ROLAND was born in San Francisco, Cal., on August 26th., and received her education first from private tutors and later at the Hollywood High School. She appeared first on the speaking stage when but a child, later making a vaudeville tour. In stock she played with both the Belasco and Morosco Stock Companies of Los Angeles. In 1911 she joined the ranks of the film players, from the very first specializing in the thrilling serials of that day. Though first and foremost an actress. Miss Roland developed a streak of business acumen, and accumulated a fortune in real estate projects. She is noted as a fearless horsewoman, drives her machine and swims with great skill, and is a splendid golfer. She is 5 feet 4 inches in height, weighs 125 lbs., and has auburn hair and blue eyes.
