Cullen Landis

CULLEN LANDIS was born in Nashville, Tenn., on July 9th., 1895, and received his education in the public schools of that city, after which he went to work as a newsboy. Gradually his grit and determination to succeed, brought him a minor department managership, and then with the wanderlust gripping him, he left home striking out for the West, arriving on the Pacific coast penniless. Driving a truck into the old Balboa Studio, in Long Beach, Cal., one day he decided that studio life suited him better, and secured work as a scene shifter. His screen career began by doubling for stars when a dangerous stunt was in the making. His work was creditable, and he began to appear regularly. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 145 lbs., and has curly brown hair, and deep blue eyes.
