Richard Dix

RICHARD DIX was born in Minneapolis, Minn., on July 18th., 1894, and was educated there, and at the University of Minnesota. During this time he had made himself proficient in dramatic art by attending a dramatic school without the knowledge of his parents. Mr. Dix was a famous football player and when a company playing at a local theatre issued a call for a football player to appear in "The College Widow" he applied and was engaged. Following this he played in stock in St. Paul, finally landing in New York City where he sought work but without success. Pittsburgh next became acquainted with young Mr. Dix, then came engagements in Texas, Canada, and Los Angeles. The films next attracted and it was as a featured player in Hall Caine's "The Christian" that he won screen fame. Since then he has risen to great popularity. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 170 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
