Pauline Starke

PAULINE STARKE was born on January 10th., 1900, in Joplin, Missouri, and received her education there. Early in youth she had exhibited marked dramatic talents, and when the old Triangle Film Company was formed "Polly" journeyed to Hollywood, and a screen test proved that her plaintive personality projected itself perfectly with the result she was engaged for Triangle productions. She has since created many notable screen characterizations, notably in "A Connecticut Yankee,' and now is in the front ranks of the younger featured players. As an outdoors girl, Miss Starke ranks with others noted for their athletic tendencies, though she also spends much time with her books, and is an accomplished pianist, as well. She is 5 feet 3 inches in height, weighs 110 lbs., and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
