Theodore Kosloff
THEODORE KOSLOFF was born in Moscow, Russia, on January 22nd., and when not training for the dance, went to school there. He began a professional career by playing the violin in the Imperial Theatre in Moscow, though he later danced with great success in the ballet at the same theatre. While studying at the University of Russia, he evinced great artistic tastes, seriously taking up sculpture and art. He became proficient in both, meanwhile making great strides in his dancing. After a tour of Europe as a featured dancer, he came to New York City in 1910, and instantly scored a great hit. His acquaintance with Cecil De Mille gave him his first screen opportunity in 1917. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 175 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
