LILA LEE was born in New York City on July 25th., 1895, and received the major portion of her education from private tutors, because of the fact that she has been constantly before the public since her seventh birthday. David Belasco gave her first stage opportunity and shortly after she became the famous "Cuddles" of Gus Edwards vaudeville acts. In this role she toured the country for a number of years when Jesse L. Lasky seeking new star material decided to give her an opportunity before the camera. From the very beginning this charming and delightful young lady acquitted herself with success, though it was not until after considerable screen experience that she came into her own as a star. She is the wife of James Kirkwood, the actor, and is 5 feet 6 inches in height, weighing 125 lbs. She has black hair and black eyes.
