Mae Busch
MAE BUSCH was born in Melbourne, Australia, on June 18th., and spent her youth there and in Tahiti. At 12 years of age she was sent to America where she attended St. Elizabeth's Convent in Madison. N. J. Like her mother, Miss Busch is an excellent singer and it was while she was at the convent that her voice caused her to think of the stage. Her family did not approve of her ambitions but Mae nevertheless gained a foothold as an understudy to a Broadway star and shortly afterwards sang the title role when the star left the show. She made an instant hit. Vaudeville followed, and then Mack Sennett engaged her for his Bathing Beauties. From that time to this Miss Busch's career has been a colorful one, each new role marking a milestone in the progress she was making. She is 5 feet 4 inches in height, weighs 119 lbs., and has black hair and gray eyes.
