DOUGLAS MacLEAN

DOUGLAS MacLEAN was born in Philadelphia on January 12th., and was educated at the Northwest Preparatory School and the Lewis Institute of Technology, both situated in Chicago. Leaving college, he returned to his native Philadelphia and embarked upon a career of bond salesman. Dissatisfied, he entered the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and soon won the favor of Miss Maude Adams who cast him for her production of "Rosalind." Stock in Los Angeles and Pittsfield, Mass., came, ere he found a place on the screen. Mary Roberts Rinehart's story "Twenty-three and a Half Hours Leave" firmly established him as a film celebrity. He is married, and has a beautiful home in Beverly Hills, California. Golf is his off-screen pastime, and he is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 150 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
