Lewis Stone
LEWIS STONE was born in Worcester, Mass., on November 15th., 1879, and when a youth his family made their home in New York City, where he was educated in the public schools, and at the Bernard Military Academy. He is a veteran of two wars. After seeing active service in the Spanish-American War, he made his first stage appearance in 1900, which he followed with a road tour. The famous Belasco Stock Company of Los Angeles featured Mr. Stone for 6 years, after which he again returned to New York, playing on Broadway in many great successes. The World War claimed his attention, and he became a military instructor at Plattsburgh Camp. He finally appeared on the screen, and immediately impressed "fans" and producers alike, with his great talents. He is of athletic figure, and tendencies, is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 174 lbs., and has gray hair and hazel eyes.
