Johnny Hines

JOHNNY HINES was born in Golden, Colorado, on July 25th., 1895, and attended high school in Pittsburgh, Pa., then he went to New York City, where he finished his education, and started his stage career. He is a rollicking youth, full of fun and ever ready to entertain. He spent 5 years on the speaking stage, ere he essayed a start in the silent drama, making his debut in 1915. He gained real screen fame by creating the popular character of "Torchy" and has since been elevated to screen stardom. Mr. Hines is an enthusiastic horseman probably enjoying horses as much as he does anything else. He is a splendid dancer, and devotes much time to study, believing that "knowledge is power." He is 5 feet 10 inches in height, weighs 150 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes.
