Jack Holt
JACK HOLT was born in Winchester, Virginia, on May 31st., 1888, and is the son of an Episcopal clergyman. As a youth seeking a life of adventure he left his home and went to Alaska, where he prospected, later taking up civil engineering. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. He began his motion picture career by doubling for a star who had to take a bad fall from a horse, and he performed the feat so well, a small part was offered him. He has been before the camera continuously ever since, his outdoor life being reflected in his erect bearing and clean-cut personality, all of which photograph to great advantage. He is a popular star, usually playing roles calculated to win the approval of any audience. He is married and the father of three children. Mr. Holt is 6 feet in height, weighs 180 lbs., and has black hair and deep brown eyes.
