J Warren Kerrigan

J WARREN KERRIGAN was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on July 25th., 1883, and following an elementary education in the schools of that city, attended the University of Illinois, from which he graduated. He began life as a clerk in a warehouse of which his father was the superintendent. There was much discussion in the Kerrigan household as to the young man's future. His mother favored the ministry, while his brother decided Warren should become a pugilist. He himself, however, decided upon the stage, and he made his debut in New York City, when but 18 years of age. After a road trip he returned to New York where he went into stock. In 1911 motion pictures held out a welcoming hand, and Mr. Kerrigan made the leap from obscurity to stardom in one bound. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 180 lbs., and has black hair and gray eyes.
