HELEN JEROME EDDY was born in New York City, on February 25th., 1897, but lived in Los Angeles, where she received her education, ever since she was three years old. With an early ambition to become a motion picture director, this sterling actress started her career on the screen with the old Lubin Company, upon completion of her high school course. Her success in character roles has been phenomenal, and she is one of the leaders in that field today, her poignant portrayals achieving dramatic heights. Miss Eddy is an enthusiastic golfer and loves fast automobiles. She is, moreover, a keen student, and much of her time is spent in her library. She loves dumb animals and several of her dogs have been exhibited at the western shows, where they won prizes. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 135 lbs., and has dark hair and eyes.
