Jackie Coogan
JACKIE COOGAN was born in Los Angeles, Cal., on October 26th., 1914, and from the very beginning was a child of the stage. Both his father and mother were professionals and it was from them that the lad inherited the rare gift of mimicry which first attracted the attention of Charles Chaplin who "discovered" the boy. His rise to fame since he made his first appearance with Chaplin in "The Kid" has not only been phenomenal but deserved, for the child brought to the screen a pathetic richness which answered the chord of sympathy in all our hearts. He undoubtedly occupies a place in the public's heart throughout the world that is absolutely unique. He lives a normal life, playing with his boy and girl friends just as any other child would. Marbles, tops, scooters and sleds, hold first place in Jackie's heart. He has brown hair, and magnificent brown eyes.
