George Walsh

GEORGE WALSH was born in New York City, on March 16th., 1892, and received his education in Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C., later taking a post-graduate course at Fordham University. He is a splendid athlete, serving his college teams with distinction. He has achieved fame as an amateur boxer, and "lasted" a number of rounds with Jack Dempsey in an exhibition bout. Deciding to take a trip to the Pacific coast, he met D. W. Griffith, who immediately engaged him to appear in "Intolerance." He is a brother of Rauel Walsh, noted director, and has created a million "fan" friends by his winning personality. At one time he was voted the most popular screen star by the residents of Cuba. Mr. Walsh is 5 feet 11 inches in height, weighs 175 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
