EARLE WILLIAMS was born in Sacramento, California, on February 28th., 1886, and received his education in the Oakland, Cal., high school, and at Polytechnic College of California. He began an active professional career in New Orleans, La., in stock. Making his first screen appearance with the Vitagraph Company, he immediately won public favor, eventually becoming one of the brightest stars of earlier screen days. Mr. Williams earned his right to stardom after serving an apprenticeship, during which he depicted "heavies," and then acted as leading man. He is one of the best read and educated stars the screen can boast of, always having been a student and inveterate reader. Mr. Williams collects Oriental objects as an off-screen pastime. He is 5 feet 11 inches in height, weighs 176 lbs., and has black hair and blue eyes.
