David Torrence

DAVID TORRENCE was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and was educated there and in England and Germany. His stage experience has been wide and varied, as he played for more than eight years with Richard Mansfield, Maude Adams, and Ethel Barrymore in New York before appearing on the silver sheet. One of his first outstanding screen successes, of which there have since been many, was "Inside of the Cup." Like his better known brother, Ernest, he confines his activities to character roles which demand the fullest of his powerful personality. Mr. Torrence is an avid reader, and much of his time is spent in the library of his beautiful Beverly Hills home. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 196 lbs., and has black hair and hazel eyes.
