CARMEL MYERS was born in San Francisco, Cal., on April 9th., 1901, and in early youth lived in Los Angeles where she attended the local public and high schools, from which she graduated. Unlike most screen stars, Miss Myers made her professional debut on the screen, and then appeared on the speaking stage. She has won favor with New York musical comedy audiences, and has toured the Orpheum Vaudeville Circuit in a striking act. D. W. Griffith brought this splendid actress to screen fame. She is a deep student, spending much time reading. She excels as a swimmer, often enjoying the water in her private pool. She has written poetry, plays tennis, and is an expert at chess, and prefers dramatic roles to decorative ones. She is 5 feet 7 inches in height, weighs 125 lbs., and has coal black hair and large brown eyes.
