ANN CORNWALL was born in Brooklyn in 1897, and was educated there and at Catskill, N. Y. She has appeared in several New York stage successes, devoting her attention chiefly to musical comedy. Now, however, she has forsaken the stage and plans to spend all her time before the camera. Her progress in motion pictures had been slow at the start, but she suddenly came to the front, establishing herself on a firm foundation because of many notable characterizations. Though one of the smallest girls on the screen, she is more than ordinarily athletic, being an excellent swimmer, tennis player and golfer. Dancing is one of her chief hobbies, while golf serves to fill her spare moments. She is only 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighs just 100 lbs., and has brown hair and very dark eyes.
