Anita Stewart

ANITA STEWART was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on February 17th., and received her education in that city, graduating from Erasmus Hall High School. Previous to her screen debut she had had no professional stage experience, but there is reflected in her success much application to the rigid experience required to master the difficult art of pantomime. On days when she did not attend school, she worked as an extra in the Vitagraph Studio. Her extreme youth at this time almost robbed her of the one big opportunity which was to proclaim her a real star. However she convinced Vitagraph officials of her ability to portray the leading role in "A Million Bid," was cast for the part, and created a big hit when she appeared on the screen. She is 5 feet 5 inches in height, weights 118 lbs., and has light brown hair and brown eyes.
