Alice Lake

ALICE LAKE was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., on September 12th., 1889, and received her education in that city. Amateur theatricals always held the attention of Miss Lake, and encouraged by her school day successes, she ventured upon the legitimate stage, dancing with success. When picture making activities invaded Brooklyn, Miss Lake visited the studio and the casting director at Vitagraph cast his knowing eye upon Alice, with the result that soon her pleasing personality graced the silver sheet. Mack Sennett secured her services for his comedy making unit, and she became a member of the old Keystone Company. Stardom loomed in the immediate future, and Miss Lake has made good. She is a wonderful swimmer and golfer, is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 115 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
