Alberta Vaughn

ALBERTA VAUGHN was born in Ashland, Ky., in 1906, and received her early education there. In 1921, she moved to Los Angeles with her parents, and made her screen debut with Agnes Ayres in "The Furnace" shortly after. After appearing in small parts in a few other features and in leading roles in Lee Moran and Clyde Cook comedies, she joined the Mack Sennett forces, playing with Harry Gribbon and Billy Bevan for a year. The road to stardom was opened to her on the completion of her Sennett contract, when she was engaged by F. B. O. for the leading role in "The Telephone Girl" series. Miss Vaughn is an outdoors girl, being a golf and tennis enthusiast, and swimmer of considerable ability. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 98 lbs., and has dark brown eyes and black hair.
