Oil for the Hair. - Take half a pound of southernwood, slightly pounded, and boil it in a pound and a half of old olive oil, and half a pint of port wine. When these ingredients are thoroughly impregnated, take them from the fire and strain out the liquor well through a linen cloth. Repeat the operation three times with fresh southern wood; and this being done, add to the filtered liquor two ounces of bear's grease or hog's lard.
