The simplest preparations for this purpose are the juice of elder berries, burnt cork, and cloves burnt at the candle. Some employ the black of frankincense, resin and mastic; this black, it is said, will not come off with perspiration. Certain Cure for Eruptions, Pimples, &c. Having in numberless instances seen the good effects of the following prescription, I can certify to its perfect remedy. Dilute corrosive sublimate with the oil of almonds; apply it to the face occasionally, and in a few days a cure will be effected.
