A Shrunk Sinew, or Stiff Joint
- Mix half an ounce each of green melilot, yellow besilicon, oil of amber, and a piece of blue vitriol as large as a thimble, well together, simmer over a slow fire, to the consistency of salve, in two ounces of lard; apply the salve (rubbing it in well each time to the shrunken part, and the joint next above it), at least three times a day.
