Seena Owen
SEENA OWEN was born in Spokane, Wash., on Nov. 14th., 1896, and was educated at Bruno Hall there and in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her stage career on her return to this country was a brief one, comprising six weeks with a stock company in San Francisco. Motion pictures attracted her and she joined the Kalem Company. After a brief engagement in minor roles, she left Kalem to accept a contract with D. W. Griffith, playing one of the prominent roles in "Intolerance." Miss Owen was formerly married to George Walsh. She has a daughter, Patricia, about 8 years old. She is a tall, slender blonde, with bright, flashing blue eyes. Her name, Seena Owen, is her own phonetic spelling for her true name, Signe Auen.
