LAURA LA PLANTE was born in St. Louis, Missouri, November 1st., 1904, and in youth removed to the west coast where she received her education, graduating from high school. Immediately thereafter delightful little Miss La Plante decided that hers was a sufficient appeal to earn a place on the screen. Accordingly, she made application to directors in Hollywood, was cast for a leading role in Charles Ray's "The Old Swimmin' Hole," and won instant favor by her piquant personality. She is destined to become a bright star of the screen under the direction of the Universal Company, being possessed of genuine talent, and both beauty and personality. As an outdoors girl she spends her hours of recreation, being an excellent rider, and driving her car with real skill. She is 5 feet 2 inches in height, weighs 112 lbs., and has brown hair and gray eyes.
