John Barrymore

JOHN BARRYMORE, one of the recognized leaders of the American stage, was born on February 15th., 1882. Following the footsteps of his illustrious father, Maurice Barrymore, he embarked upon a stage career, making his debut in "Magda" at the age of twenty. His success was instantaneous, and he was starred in "A Stubborn Cinderella," "Uncle Sam," "The Fortune Hunter," and many other well remembered successes. His success in motion pictures was immediate, too, when he appeared in "Raffles, the Amateur Cracksman," his first screen production. Since that time he has been alternating between the silent drama and the stage. Mr. Barrymore's talents are many, his cartoons having attracted wide recognition. He is married, is 5 feet 10 inches tall, and has brown hair and light eyes.
