Edith Roberts
EDITH ROBERTS was born in New York in 1901 and was educated there, making her stage debut in that city when she was only six years old. At an age when most girls are still in school, she had to resort to private tutors to continue her education while she was playing in Nestor and Christie comedies. Her excellent work and her splendid screen personality soon won her recognition, and she became a star with Universal. Her earliest work as a star established her as a light comedienne of rare qualities, and her more recent work has since won her high rank as a dramatic actress. She excels in riding, swimming and tennis, and is an ardent theatre goer. She is just 5 feet tall, weighs 105 lbs., and has light brown hair and brown eyes.
