DAGMAR GODOWSKY was born in Petrograd, Russia, on November 24th., and received her education in Russia and the United States where she came with her father, the famous pianist, Leopold Godowsky, when quite young. She made her first legitimate stage appearance with a stock company, where she gained considerable experience. George Broadhurst next cast her for a prominent role in one of his productions, which she followed with her debut on the screen in a Goldwyn picture. Miss Godowsky is a favorite with screen "fans" who delight in exotic characterizations, her dark beauty permitting her wide opportunity for such roles in which she is frequently cast by leading producers. She was at one time the wife of Frank Mayo. Miss Godowsky is 5 feet 5 1/2 inches tall, weighs 120 lbs., and has black hair and hazel eyes.
