The Good-Night Prayer
(425) Ah! it is well that "little ones" should love us!
It lights our faith when dim, To know that once our blessed Saviour bade them Bring "little ones" to Him.

And said He not, "Of such is heaven," and blessed them, resolve upon a retreat. But the prisoner, who had learned its movements from his jailer, and who, from the conduct of the spider, judged that severe frost would soon return, contrived to inform the French of his opinion. They put faith in his judgment, and maintained their ground. The frost soon returned, as he predicted. The victorious French completed their conquests, and Disjonval was set at liberty.
And held them to His breast?
Is it not sweet to know that when they leave us, 'Tis then they go to rest?
