Harry Langdon

HARRY LANGDON, newest of comedy stars, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on June 15th., and was educated in that city. His first contact with the theatrical business came at an early age when he was an errand boy at the Dohaney Theatre in his home town. In turn he was usher and stage hand, making his first appearance behind the footlights when he substituted for an actor who failed to appear for a performance. For the following eighteen years, he continued on the stage in vaudeville and musical comedy. Under Mack Sennett's direction, he has established himself among the leading screen comedians, again confirming the uncanny ability of Mr. Sennett, discoverer of Chaplin, to pick comedians. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes.
